erstad ARCHITECTS has had the exciting opportunity to work with the YMCA on their newest camp at Horsethief Reservoir in Valley County. It is the YMCA’s intent to provide campers, and all other users, an ‘Idaho Camp’ experience that promotes learning and cooperation. The infrastructure is nearing completion for the water treatment, holding, supply and waste. The focus of the 2009 building season will be placed on the waste water lagoon and pole barn which will be the temporary dining facility. Attached to the pole barn is a restroom/shower building for the 10 yurts. Ten foundations for camper cabins have been poured with construction completion by the summer of 2010.

The project includes a number of program facilities that will be completed during the summer of 2009. These program areas consist of a group camp fire ring, individual site fire rings, archery, swimming area, docks and covered open air pavilion.
