D.L. Evans Bank Hailey

This single story, 6,100 SF bank branch opened in Hailey in January of 2018 on Main Street, just a few blocks south of downtown. Though D.L. Evans Bank had been operating in this town in the beautiful Wood River Valley since 2005, this was their first standalone branch in the area.
A blend of classic and modern design ties D.L. Evans’ branding in with the styles of the surrounding valley. In the interiors, wood look slat ceilings feature specialty lighting. A floating canopy of curved acoustical panels visually radiates out from the teller line, mimicking the local landscape while helping to temper the exposed structure of the main volume. Warm sunlight streams in from all sides of the building and is controlled by exterior shading devices and interior light shelves on the south façade.
The bank had long held aspirations of further expanding their involvement in the community with this new branch. In response to that goal, the new building features a flexible community room for use by customers and neighbors. A sunny café space allows customers a comfortable space to chat with knowledgeable bank staff over a cup of coffee. Dual entrances treated with heated pavers to melt snow welcome traffic by foot and by vehicle, and a revitalized bus transit stop on the site ties into city amenity upgrades.
