The couple that purchased this condo on the top floor of the Veltex building were looking for a solution that would allow them to downsize and age gracefully together. Design requirements included wheelchair accessibility, clean lines and a place to showcase a collection of over 70 Royal Copenhagen plates. Durable floor finishes of ceramic and wood in the main living area and wood wainscot walls down the main corridor still look as beautiful today as they did when installed in 2004.
The metal staircase railing leads to the second story with guest rooms, bath and an office as well as a truly remarkable view of the state Capitol. The first floor provides a sitting room for projects and reading and an outdoor patio that accommodates a small flower garden and seating to enjoy the view.
